Syracuse University is one of the oldest and profound private research universities in the United States. The university was established in the year 1870. It comprises of 13 schools and colleges, with courses in fine arts, economics, clinical psychology, computer science, law and many more. The university is famously known for its legacy of providing support to military veterans.

Syracuse University has a beautiful 270-acre campus located in the University Hill locality of Syracuse, comprising of extensive buildings designed by renowned architects. The university offers more than 200 majors and over 100 minors in 9 undergraduate colleges in varied fields. It also offers over 40 bachelors and masters programs and about 200 advanced degree programs. Syracuse University is home to over 30 research centers in fields like design, fine arts, social sciences, and humanity, to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) fields. The average fees for the courses are around 51,000 USD (2018-2019). The acceptance rate of university applications is 47%.

Over 250,000 alumni have graduated from Syracuse, which include Vishal Sikka (former CEO of Infosys), Joe Biden (former Vice President of the United States), Eileen Collins (the very first female space shuttle and commander), Aaron Sorkin (screenwriter for movies like The Social Network and Moneyball), and Megyn Kelly (American news anchor and journalist).
